Join the International Erosion Control Association at its Portland Regional Roadshow event on Thursday, July 26 at the Portland Water Pollution Control Lab: 6543 North Burlington Avenue, Portland, OR 97203. The event will feature open conversations with regulators and industry professionals, reviews of Best Management Practice (BMP) specifications and requirements, an overview of current active treatment ideas and technology, and a field trip to the Linnton Plywood Mill Restoration Site for BMP Installation demonstrations. The event runs from 9 am to 3:30 pm and lunch will be provided. Free to IECA members and only $20 for non-members.

Agenda

  • 8:30 - 9:00AM - Registration Open
  • 9:00AM - 12:00PM - Classroom Workshop to include: 
    • Online Training: Erosion Control, describes the process of erosion, primary causes, and various strategies to control erosion on construction sites. Course participants will: (1) gain an understanding of the erosion process and the primary influencing factors, (2) understand the purpose of erosion controls and their ability to protect the soil to promote the growth of vegetation; (3) become knowledgeable on typical erosion control practices used in construction; and (4) understand effective site planning strategies to prevent or minimize erosion.
    • Online Training: Sediment Control, covers the process of sediment transport and deposition and various strategies to control sediment transport on construction sites. Course participants will: (1) gain an understanding of the sedimentation process and the influencing factors; (2) become knowledgeable on typical sediment control practices used in construction and their limitations; and (3) understand the installation and maintenance requirements of typical sediment control practices.

IECA Cancellation & Transfer Policy

Requests for registration refunds or transfers must be submitted to IECA in writing. For cancellations prior to 30 days from the event a $10 processing fee will be applied. For cancellations 30 days and less from the event date there will be no refund. Transfer of registrations are encouraged and subject to a $10 processing fee.
