International Attendees Reception
We invite members of our international chapters and attendees visiting from outside the U.S. to stop by this special reception. All other attendees arriving Sunday are encouraged to help us welcome our international attendees. We will be serving light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments with an international flavor. Admission to this event is complementary for pre-registered attendees. Please indicate that you will be attending on your registration form or online when you register to attend EC09.
Dinner Groups
This unique opportunity allows groups of attendees to come together over a great meal. At registration, attendees can sign-up for this informal networking activity by restaurant preference and meet with other industry professionals from the newest to the most experienced for good conversation over dinner on Sunday evening. A special thanks to the Western U.S. Chapter for their contribution with the restaurant selections.
Monday Field Tour: You Take the High Road
The year 2011 marks the goal completion date for the extension to highway I-580 that will connect Reno to Carson City. The planned extension covers seven and a half miles, includes seven bridges and will be the largest free-span bridge in northern Nevada. Don’t miss your opportunity to get a rare glimpse inside this extensive project from Julie Etra, CPESC and Barbara Santer as they take you from the classroom to the project site. They will discuss their roles in providing specifications for erosion control and revegetation, along with other specifications for aesthetic treatments. Fee for this tour is included in your conference registration, but you must be pre-registered to attend. Space is limited, so register early!

Expo Grand Opening Celebration
Join us for the grand opening of the EC09 expo. This event will give you a chance to preview what the expo has to offer while you enjoy a full dinner buffet. Exhibitors will be on hand to help you find the best solutions for the onsite issues you face everyday. This will be the place to be on Tuesday evening, so don’t miss the fun!
Chapter Challenge
We’re taking the Chapter Challenge to a new level at EC09. In honor of the endurance and survivor challenge of today’s marketplace, EC09 will feature a survivor competition. Chapter representatives will compete in a series of activities throughout the week that will test mental and physical strength. Each team will collect pieces to a puzzle with each challenge. Each piece collected gets competitors one step closer to solving the puzzle and achieving the title of Challenge Champions. Join us throughout the week to cheer on your Chapter as we hold: a Geo-Caching Challenge, Sudoku Survivor, Arm Wrestling Tournament, an Expo Hall Scavenger Hunt, along with other events. See your Chapter Leadership for sign-up information.

EC09 will be running buses every thirty minutes to and from the Atlantis. Transportation is included with your conference registration.
