TRI Environmental is an internationally recognized environmental laboratory providing testing, research, and product development services to clients in the geosynthetic, erosion and sediment control, transportation, and plastic pipe industries. TRI’s research and testing capabilities provide clients with comprehensive data about their products to improve product sales, meet construction specifications, satisfy regulatory requirements, and drive product innovation. TRI-SC is currently undertaking several unique projects in the water quality, roadway reinforcement, pressure pipe, and erosion and sediment control industry.

James E. (Jay) Sprague, CPESC - Lab Director, TRI Environmental – SC. Mr. Sprague is the Laboratory Director of TRI Environmental South Carolina’s facilities in Greenville and Anderson, SC. Mr. Sprague directs all site operations and testing, supervises a staff of technicians, and is responsible for the implementation of TRI’s Quality Systems throughout all lab operations. Mr. Sprague’s is an internationally recognized author and has contributed to many industry publications and conferences. Mr. Sprague is actively involved in several industry organizations, namely the International Erosion Control Association and ASTM International. Mr. Sprague is a graduate of Clemson University and resides in Greenville, SC with his wife and two young boys.
